Can i get dual citizenship In Italy if I am an American citizen but my wife for 3 years has dual citizenship?

If I have done me research correctly, I believe I am allowed to claim dual citizenship in Italy and America. Barring no serious criminal record, which I do not have. My wife is a dual citizen of Italy and the United States. One of the stipulations is that I can't apply for 3 years after marriage, and May 24th of this year will be 3 years exactly. Pretty excited about it. If it is possible, please let me know. Thanks. Also if you have any experience as an american (who speaks fluent Italian) looking for a job in Italia, where would be the best place to begin?
