Why are guy gamers so rude to us girl gamers on the PS3?

I play mw2 and got literally harassed for 4 hours 2day...(I went offline and for 4 hours this guy kept sending me rude sexist messages) and I got harassed the whole time...Why are the guys so rude too us? Guys lay off...Thanks :// Any chicks who play mw2? :) Thanks
