With the way Lakers self distructed, I still think Phoenix would have had to been favored against Dallas considering no Maverick player would have been able to guard Amare. Nash would have the edge against Kidd and Phoenix would have had a solid bench with guys like Dudley, Drogic, Gortat off the bench. However's Amare greed for big money will most likely cost him a ring as an NBA hard cap will make it hard for New York to acquire another star and build a legit supporting cast.
